Ibn Taymiyyah – Syaikhul Islam – banyak sekali memuji para ulama Asy‘ari.
(Al-Baqarah: 286).”

Ibn Taymiyyah Shaykh Al Islam's praise of Shuyukh who were Asharia is abundant
Among these is what he said, may God have mercy on him, after mentioning a group of Ash’aris, such as Abu Bakr al-Baqillani, Abu al-Ma’ali al-Juwayni, and those who followed them:
“There is none of these people who have not made commendable efforts in Islam, and have done righteous good deeds, and he has responded to many of the people of atheism and innovation and defended many of the people of the Sunnah and religion, which is not hidden from anyone who knows their circumstances and speaks about them with knowledge, truth, justice, and fairness.
But when this principle, originally taken from the Mu'tazila, who were virtuous and intelligent, became confused, they needed to reject it and adhere to its implications. As a result, they were forced to adopt statements that were rejected by Muslim scholars and religious scholars. As a result, people became:
Some of them respect them because of their good qualities and virtues.
Some of them criticize them because of the innovations and falsehoods that are found in their speech.
The best of all matters is the middle way. This is not limited to these people, but something similar has happened to groups of people of knowledge and religion. Allah Almighty accepts the good deeds of all His believing servants and overlooks their bad deeds. “Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.” (Al-Hashr: 10)
There is no doubt that whoever strives to seek the truth and religion from the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and makes mistakes in some of that, God will forgive him for his mistakes, in fulfillment of the supplication that God answered for His Prophet and the believers when they said: “ Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake ” (Al-Baqarah: 286).
